1. Quick start
Open Meimodu — no complex sign-up needed. Recommended onboarding:
- Browse the character gallery, filter by tags such as Healing, Mystery or Fantasy;
- Tap a character to enter chat and send your opening line;
- After a few rounds, sign up via the "⋯" menu to enable cloud sync and personalisation.
2. Immersive chat
2.1 Input & controls
Press Enter to send. Long-press the send button for voice input (mic permission required). The Settings panel exposes:
- Reply length — five tiers from short to long;
- Temperature — 0 stable, 1 creative;
- Memory window — how much history the AI considers;
- Persona strength — how strictly the AI sticks to character setup.
2.2 Narration & actions
Wrap text in * to flag it as narration or action, e.g. *I turn toward the window*. The AI responds in narrative voice.
3. Building & publishing characters
Open Studio → New character and fill in:
- Basics — name, age, gender, appearance, avatar;
- Persona — personality keywords, backstory, voice;
- Worldbuilding — rules and constraints of the setting;
- Example dialogue — 3–5 lines that teach pacing and tone;
- Opening line — what they say when meeting you.
Save as private or publish to the community. You can edit or unpublish at any time.
4. Memory & persona tuning
Meimodu uses dual short-term + long-term memory:
- Short-term holds the last ~50 turns of context;
- Long-term distils key events, relationships and your preferences.
View, edit or export memory entries in Character settings → Memory. If the AI drifts off persona, use "Reset last N turns" to roll back to a stable point.
5. Cross-device sync
Sign in with the same account on H5, PWA, mini-program and App for seamless switching. Manual sync lives in "Me → Account → Sync now". If a device is offline, sync resumes automatically when the network returns.
6. Data & privacy
Conversations are visible only to you, with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest. Wipe everything from Settings → Data & Privacy. See the Privacy Policy for the full story.
