1. Information we collect
To provide AI roleplay and creative features, Meimodu may collect:
- Account: phone or email at sign-up, username, avatar, region;
- Usage: conversations, preferences, characters you create, interactions;
- Device & logs: model, OS, IP, browser version, error logs (for safety and quality);
- Billing: only order metadata — we never hold your payment credentials.
2. How we use it
- Provide core features (AI dialogue, memory, moderation, sync);
- Risk control, abuse prevention and incident triage;
- Aggregated analytics to improve the product;
- Service notifications and recommendations, with your consent.
3. Sharing & disclosure
We share personal data only when:
- You have given explicit consent;
- It is necessary to deliver the service (cloud storage, CDN, payment gateway), with equal protection obligations on the third party;
- A lawful request comes from authorities or courts.
4. Storage & security
Conversations are protected with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest. Passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes. Internal access follows least privilege with multi-step approvals.
5. Retention
Account and conversation data are retained while the account is active. After deletion, data moves to archive within 30 days and is fully removed from production within 180 days at most.
6. Your rights
- Access, rectification and export of your data;
- Withdraw consent and opt out of personalised recommendations;
- Wipe all conversations with a single tap;
- Delete your account and identifiable data.
7. Minors
Meimodu does not target children under 14. If you are a minor, please use the service with guardian supervision and avoid uploading sensitive information.
8. Cross-border transfers
When data must cross borders we run a compliance assessment and use mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to safeguard it.
9. Updates
We may revise this policy as the business or laws evolve. Material changes will be announced through in-app notices or email.
